Represented by the College of Education, Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) participated in the workshop organized in honor of Dr. Nayyaf bin Rasheed Al-Jabry, Ministry of Education Deputy, and supervised by the Education Administration in Makkah. The workshop was titled, "Quality Assurance System .. Investment of Output Enhancement Opportunities." The participating delegation comprised Dr. Suhail Al-Harbi, Vice-Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Farid Al-Ghamdi, Vice-Dean of the College for Development and Educational Programs, Dr. Khalid Al-Obaidy, Head of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Dr. Talal Al-Khairy, Associate Professor at the Department of Islamic Education, Dr. Somayyah Sharaf, Vice-Dean of the College, as well as Dr. Al-Anoud Mahder, Vice-Dean of the College for Development and Educational Programs. 

The workshop, which was held on Wednesday-Thursday 15th- 16th Rabi'I 1438H, aimed at seeking opportunities for the enhancement of the educational system performance and output. It involved the demonstration of some concepts, procedures and the suggested Educational Quality Assurance System. In addition, it included clarifying opinions, setting and discussing work plans, and producing suitable recommendations. Moreover, discussions in the workshop revolved around the formulation of a professional vision of educational system processes. This could be through concentration on some of the vital elements of education such as assessment, learning support and time, curricula reduction, distinguished and lower categories support, in addition to suggestion of educational-system acceleration policies and mechanisms.

The attendees of the workshop included a group of education directors, male and female assistants thereof in the various KSA regions. They also involved a group of male and female general supervisors, inspectors and teachers in Makkah. Finally, the workshop was concluded with thanks and appreciation by Mr. Muhammad Mahdi Al-Harithi, General Director of Education in Makkah.
