Within the framework of the efforts exerted by the University College in Al-Qunfudah concerning building the capacities of staff members in the domain of competitive research project writing, the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research organized a seminar titled, “Competitive Research Project Writing Skills.” The seminar was presented by Dr. Faraj Ibrahim Muhammad Ibrahim, Assistant Professor at the Department of Biology. Dr. Ibrahim successively demonstrated the various components of a sample research project, some necessary technical skills of writing every component, and the general standards on the basis of which research proposals were assessed. Then, Dr. Ibrahim presented the procedures that must be taken after the issuance of the resolution by the Research Proposals’ Arbitration Commission in cases of acceptance or refusal of project financing. Afterwards, he mentioned some of the local and international financing bodies for distinguished research projects. Moreover, Dr. Muhammad Mar’I Al-Hazimi, Vice-Dean of the College, commented on the presentation by Dr. Faraj Ibrahim and expressed his gratitude for it.
Finally, Dr. Faraj Ibrahim answered the questions of the College staff member attendees.
