In the framework of the smart partnership with the Education Department in the Governorate, and to promote the exchange of experiences, Dr. Sumayah Farid, Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics, participated with the Education Training Center in Al-Qunfudhah (Gifted and Talented Section) in delivering a training workshop under the theme: "Basics of Scientific Research". The workshop took place on Wednesday, 10 Safar 1441 A.H., at 9: 30 a.m., and lasted for two and a half hours.
During the workshop, Dr. Sumayah tackled the definition of scientific research along with its objectives, tools, methods, types, and characteristics. She acquainted the audience with the methods of gathering information and how to organize scientific research. She also explained to them how to practice scientific research in schools, through conducting school projects, reports, and other activities. At the end of her talk, she proposed a multi-dimensional model to take care of gifted students. The workshop targeted the coordinators and teachers of talented students, and was attended by a group of outstanding gifted female students.
