The Department of Family Education at the College of Education, under the leadership of Prof. Maria Al-Zahrani and Ms. Fardous Bal`amsh, organized a scientific trip for the students and academic staff of the Department of Family Education to the headquarters of the McDonald's Restaurant in Makkah on Tuesday, 5 Rajab, 1440 A.H. During the trip, they checked on the different phases involved in producing food: storage, cooling, and cooking, until the food reaches the customer. They also heard an explanation of the adopted quality and safety standards, and how they motivated their staff.
This trip was part of the activities of the department which aim to introduce the students to the various stages of selling food products. In response to the company's keenness in preserving privacy, the internal production phases were not filmed.
