The College of Education was honored in the 'Volunteering Is a Way of Life and a Journey' meeting held by the Deanship of Scientific Research, represented by the Vice Deanship for Volunteering Research and Voluntary Research. The Vice Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Abeer bint Muhammad Al-Sabban, received the shield for the first place won by the college for registering the male and female volunteers in the volunteering database system; 22% of the total number of volunteers, from 29 colleges and institutes, being registered.
Ghaliah Al-Rifa`i, the PhD student in the Department of Islamic studies, won the first place with regard to the number of volunteering hours, with 149 hours. Naseem Al-Shareef, the Master’s student in the Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods, won the second place with 123 hours, and Nahlah Jameel, the Master’s student in the Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods, won the third place with 82 hours.
Fatimah Al-Suhaimi, the PhD student in the Department of Psychology and member at Ghars (planting) Voluntary Team, won the title "Outstanding Volunteer". She was honored for her high professionalism and outstanding performance in volunteering throughout this year.
