The College of Health Sciences in Al-Qunfudhah organized a blood donation campaign. The blood donation was organized in collaboration with Al-Qunfudah Health Affairs Directorate, represented by the Department of Laboratories, along with the Central Blood Bank in Al-Qunfudah. The campaign was conducted on Tuesday, 26 Rajab, 1440 A.H., corresponding to 2 April 2019 A.C.
The blood donation campaign lasted from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the College of Health Sciences in Al-Qunfudhah. Thirty-three donors participated in this blood donation campaign, comprising students from the College of Health Sciences, the Preparatory Year, and the Colleges of Medicine, Engineering and Computers, in addition to Al-Qunfudhah University College. The participation of the students came in response to an invitation of His Excellency Dr. Omar bin Abdullah Al-Hazzazi, the Dean of Health Sciences in Al-Qunfudhah, to donate blood to save the sick and injured, in pursuit of the reward and recompense from Allah Almighty. His Excellency was among the first to donate blood, serving as a role model for the students and employees of the university branch in Al-Qunfudhah.
