Students from the Department of Business Administration of Hajj and Umrah at the College of Business Administration paid a visit to the Taj Food Factory for Ready Meals in Makkah. This visit was part of the practical applications related to the Tawwafah institutions course and took place under the supervision of Dr. Ammar Attar on Monday, 7 Rajab, 1440 A.H.

The students listened to a detailed explanation from the Director of the Factory, Mr. Abdullah Al-Omari, in which he clarified the stages of the establishment of the factory, starting from the conduction of the feasibility study until its inception. Mr. Abdullah also outlined the daily production line and how the pilgrims benefit from the meals made in Makkah under the supervision of Saudi staff. During the visit, the students saw the equipment and apparatuses of the factory that enable it to cater for such a huge number of pilgrims.

The students were also informed of all the stages of production, including the preparation and storage of the raw components and how they are turned into a cooked product, packed in a safe and healthy manner. The meals are then sterilized for them to be valid for use for the maximum possible period without being affected by the surrounding weather conditions. A variety of international meals are cooked in this factory in order to satisfy the pilgrims coming from different countries.

The students at the Department of Business Administration of Hajj and Umrah expressed their thanks to the factory employees for the warm reception and hospitality they received. The Department of Business Administration of Hajj and Umrah expresses its sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Dr. Ammar Attar for his outstanding efforts in conducting these field visits, which increase the students' abilities and skills. These visits also link their theoretical knowledge with the real life applications and practices used in the labor market.
