Under the auspices of Dr. Hashem Al-Samdani, the Dean of Qunfudhah University College, the Vice-Deanship of Students’ Affairs (females) organized in collaboration with the Department of English Language an event titled “Al-Dirah and Saudi Heritage” on Monday 04 Rajab 1437. The event was attended by the Vice-Dean, Dr. Nouire Ba-Jaber and the Vice-Dean for Students’ Affairs, Dr. Sharifa Al-Hazmi.
The event was delivered by the English language club students under the supervision of Dr. Taqwa Basha. Students reflected on the Saudi heritage through accents, clothes and occasions. During the event, historical poems and chants were presented so as to build up an attractive academic atmosphere and to stimulate students to acquire knowledge. The activity made by the fourth level students at the Department of English Language received wide and special praise.
An academic-social show titled “How to learn sign language?” was afterwards presented. In that show, a specialist in sign language explained her experience in dealing with special needs students using sign language. She taught attendees sign language and presented some acted shows using sign language for special needs students.
