Under the auspices of the Dr. Hashem Al-Samdani, Dean of Qunfudhah University College, and under the supervision of the Vice-Deanship of Students’ Affairs, students at the Department of Mathematics-Females organized a program titled “Mathematics in our Life” on Wednesday, 28 Jamada II 1437 H. The event was attended by the Vice-Dean, Dr. Nouire Ba-Jaber and the Vice-Dean for Students’ Affairs, Dr. Sharifa Al-Hazmi. By means of games, pictures and shows, the role of mathematics in our life was highlighted.
Presentation about Al-Khawarizmi, the development of computer, how to help children learn mathematics, and the relationship between mathematics and other professions were made. Moreover, the program included mathematics contests, the presentation of a scientific magazine and entertainment games.
The event witnessed great participation from students. Shows and contests were also admired by the Qunfudhah University College (females) community.
