Under the patronage and supervision of the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Sharifah Al-Hazmi, the female student clubs held a number of activities and events this week. The first event was at 10 a.m., on Sunday, 19 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., at the college theater, when the Family Education Club gave an awareness lecture entitled, "Osteomalacia: Causes and Treatment". Dr. Manal Abdul-Hafizh gave the lecture, in which she provided information and advice on the disease, stressing the need for healthy and good nutrition and exposure to sunlight to avoid developing osteomalacia.
The second event was held in the same location for the Counseling and Guidance Club, at 12:30 p.m. It was presented by a group of female students, and was entitled, "Be Happy", entailing an invitation to fill our lives with happiness and joy, and explaining how to achieve this aim. The activities were supervised by Dr. Sahar Al-Sa`di and Ms. Nada Al-Quzi.
At 10 a.m. on Monday, 20 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., at the college theater, the English Language Club presented a lecture entitled, "The Impact of Applications and Social Media Sites on Cognitive and Linguistic enrichment". The event relied on practical models by hosting two graduates of the department, Zainab Al-Faqih and Badriyya Al-Shuqaifi, to present their experiences on the subject and their activity on social media platforms.
At 11 a.m. on Tuesday, 21 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., at the college yard, the Physics Club presented an awareness seminar on the subject of medical imaging and its relationship to physics, with an introduction on its techniques. This was presented by a number of female students, under the supervision of Dr. Sumayya Awad and Ms. Fatimah Al-Ghubaishi.
