The Society Service College Organizes an Orientation for the Students of the “Qualification and Preparatory” Academic Years

Under the supervision of the Educational Affairs Vice Deanship and Programs Department, the Society Service and Continuing Education College (female division) has organized an orientation session for all the students of the Programs Department: the preparatory year (engineering, computing and administrative studies); the qualification year (Arabic Language College- Shara’iah College- Economic Science College- Da’awa and Theology College. The session took place on Sunday, October 16th, 2016; and Wednesday, October 19th, 2016.

The sessions were presided by the Society Service and Continuing Education Vice Dean, Dr. Jameelah bint Mohammed Siliti; and Programs Department Deputy Head, Dr. Ra’abah bnit Salim Sijini. They welcomed the students, and they familiarized them with the program and its objectives, its requirements, the study plan and the rules to which the College’s study process are subjected. They also touched upon the preparatory and qualification years, and the procedures taken when the student absenteeism exceeds 25% of the lectures. They also tackled the rules of withdrawing from and postponing the program and their repercussions over the study process. Similarly, they give them information about dismissing and their responsibilities in the College, and then they answered all their questions. 

By the same token, they distributed pamphlets to them containing important guidelines, and then they watched a visual presentation for all what is related to the preparatory and qualification years.  This in turn helped the students get the most of the orientation. In addition to this, they gave them some tips on the way they should dress and the ethics they should hold to.  And they stressed on the importance of respecting the campus.

The orientation session pulled a huge turnout to the effect that the number of the students reached 613 ones. And they tangibly interacted with the orientation.
