A Successful Orientation for the Fresh Students at the Medical Applied Science College

On Thursday, October 1, 2016, the Medical Applied Science Vice Deanship for the Academic Affairs organized an orientation session for the fresh students of the academic year 1437-1438. The session took place at the King Abdul-Aziz historic hall, supporting hall (1).

The session comes out of all the College officials’ interest in preparing the fresh students and familiarizing them with rights and duties throughout the study years at the College. This in turn contributes to raising the level of their awareness and is instrumental to their excellence and success from the first day at the College premises.

At the beginning of the session, the student made an exploratory tour at all the College laboratories and departments through which they listened to a brief account about the equipment at them. Then they headed to the supporting hall (1) at the King Abdul-Aziz hall for meeting the College’s officials. 

Similarly, the session included a meeting with Dr. Ahmed ibn Mohammed A’ashi, the College dean; Dr. Ayman Alsaigh, the Academic Affairs vice deanship; Dr. Na’aim Qaysti, head of the Laboratories Department; Dr. Basem Hassan Alsherief; head of the Clinical Technology Department and Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim; head of the Therapy Department

Delivering a speech, the Dean welcomed the fresh students as new members At the College family, wishing them support during the period of their study at it. He also urged them to study hard and diligently for achieving success and excellence. He went on to point out that the College adopts the open door policy with its students; meaning that the student is welcome at any time to ask any questions or submit a complaint or seek any academic  help from all the officials and academic staff at the College.

By the same token, Dr Ayman Alsaagh, the Academic Affairs vice deanship, gave a lecture entitled “Student’s Rights and Duties”. The lecture touched upon the study regulation and tests at the College. And this boosts the student’s awareness with their rights and duties during their academic year at the College.

Afterwards, the department heads: Dr. Na’aim Qaysti, head of the Laboratories Department; Dr. Basem Hassan Alsherief; head of the Clinical Technology Department and Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim; head of the Therapy Department reviewed an overview about the study plans, the nature of the study at its different departments and the outcomes  and the labor market needs for its their departments. They listened to the student’s questions and answered them for clarifying any inquiries.

Concluding the session, the fresh students got familiarized with the activities of the Student College at the College, and they were urged to join it.
