The Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods, at the College of Education, has launched the Program, "Preparing the Teacher Student for the Educational Field", under the patronage and direction of His Eminence the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Ali bin Muslih Al-Matrifi, and the participation of His Eminence the College Vice-Dean, Dr. Murdi bin Ghurmullah Al-Zahrani, and His Excellency the Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Bakri. The program was initiated on Sunday morning, 7 Jumada Al-Awwal 1440 A.H., at 8 a.m., in the Grand Hall of the College of Education. The program is scheduled to continue for three days, and involved a number of participants that totaled 175 students from the educational fields of Physical Education, Art Education, and Special Education.
The Head of the Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods, Dr. Awad bin Salih Al-Malki, stated that the aim of this program is to inform and prepare student-teachers for the education field by providing trainees with the necessary expertise to effectively perform the tasks entrusted to them in this field. The program is also designed to keep them abreast of the latest advances in the educational process, which will allow them to possess the competencies and skills necessary to contribute to the rise of the nation and the realization of the Saudi Vision for 2030.
