Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Yasin bin Abdullah Al-Zubaidy, the Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College, the guidance of His Excellency Dr. Aly Al-`Isa, Vice-Dean of the College of Community Service at Al-Qunfudhah, and the sponsorship and support of the Vice-Deanship of Student Affairs of the Female Section at Al-Qunfudhah, the "Blood Donation is a Gift from the Heart" campaign was launched in partnership between the College Vice-Deanship, the Department of Laboratories, and the Blood Bank of Al-Qunfudhah General Hospital. The aim of the campaign is to serve the community and provide humanitarian services to citizens. The campaign was organized - praise be to Allah - on Monday, 25 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., at the campus of Al-Qunfudhah University College.

The donation activities started at 8:00 a.m. and continued till 2:30 p.m., in the presence of 14 medical staff from Al-Qunfudhah General Hospital. A hall was prepared with all necessary medical equipment to facilitate the donation process. The medical team did good job dealing with the increased number of donors.

The campaign was organized and supervised by Her Excellency Dr. Sharifah Al-Hazimi, the Vice-Dean of Student Affairs, under the guidance of Her Excellency Dr. Nuwair Bajaber, the Vice-Dean of the University College, in coordination with Her Excellency Dr. Huwaida Al-Sayyid and a number of administrative staff. Everyone put in a great effort the serve the citizens, seeking reward from Allah. There were approximately 50 donors.

Meals were provided for the donors before and after they donated blood. Some related pamphlets and brochures were distributed. At the end of the day the Vice-Dean of Student Affairs honored the medical staff with certificates of thanks and bouquets of roses.
