Under the instructions of His Excellency Dr. Mastur bin `Aly Al-Faqih, Head of the Physical Education Department at the Qunfudhah Campus, the Public Relations Unit undertook an initiative to demonstrate their appreciation of the teachers, within the framework of its operational program. This was achieved by celebrating the International Teachers' Day and giving the students the chance to honor their teachers from among the College Academic staff. The celebrations started at 11.00 am on Tuesday 14 Safar, 1440 A.H. 

The Mass Communication Center team, consisting of students from the Physical Education Department at Al-Qunfudhah University College, gave gifts and flowers to His Excellency the Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College, Dr. Yasin Al-Zubaidy, the Vice-Deans, the Heads of Departments, and the Academic Staff. The Dean praised such an initiative that was a token of appreciation for the teachers, and demanded that it should be held annually. 

At the end of the event, Dr. Mastur Al-Faqih, Head of the Physical Education Department at the Qunfudhah Campus, honored the Mass Communication team in appreciation for their efforts that lead to such a successful event. 

On this occasion, the Physical Education Department would like to extend its sincere greetings to His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), for his being both a leader and a teacher.
