E-Learning.. A New Phase in BA College

Amid the adoption of the College of Business Administration for the active learning and interactive teaching; the Dean of the BA College launched a phased plan under the supervision of the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs and implementation of the Active Learning Center in the college.

In its first phase, the plan was represented in participation in the accredited trainer project at the Deanship of E-learning. The second phase included the qualifying of the college’s students and faculty members on the e-learning system through courses organized by the Deanship for the students and faculty members.

After that, the third phase was launched and represented in the initiatives on the departments’ levels and offering personal training to the faculty members in the different departments. The initiative achieved great success that Dr. Ali Al-Qassem, the Head of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, adopted the the complete transformation initiative for the e-learning in all the department’s curricula. Moreover, Dr. Mahmoud Falata, the Head of he Department of Business Administration and Marketing; Dr. Mohamed Al-Sherief, the Head of the Department of Business Administration of Hajj and Umra; and Dr. Mohamed Harrery, at the Department of Accounting, supported the initiatives. Training courses were held inside the college and presented by Dr. Yousry Nabil and Dr. Najm Al-Hoda, in cooperation with the Deanship of E-learning. One of these training sessions was uploaded on YouTube (https://youtu.be/-DdPvrNYVXo) to spread knowledge about the system of e-learning inside the college. 

The fourth phase was then launched through a series of meetings between the Active Learning Center at the College and the Departments’ faculty members, which resulted in launching the usage of the e-learning system and conducting e-tests for the departments’ students. 

The fifth phase is under implementation and it is the expansion plan in the e-learning in the college to include all its courses in two years.
