Vice Deanships of Al-Qunfudhah University College for Development Holds Workshop on (Three First Standards)

With support from the Vice Dean of the University College in Al-Qunfudhah, Dr. Yassin bin Abdullah Al-Zobaidy, the Vice Deanship for Development and Quality held a workshop for three consecutive days, from 30 Rajab 1439AH to 2 Sha’ban 1439AH on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It was about the three first standards of the quality guarantee and academic accreditation standards, which were: (Vision, Mission and Objectives, Program Management, Administration of Quality Guarantee and its Development). It was held at the college’s training hall. The series of workshops was led by Dr. Saleh Moussa Al-Zahrani, the Vice Dean of the College for Quality and Academic Development. He welcomed the attendees, explaining the importance of the topic of the workshop and what it provides in order to obtain the accreditation.   The workshops were delivered by Dr. Atef Saaed, and they involved explaining these three standards from several aspects, which were: (Self-evaluation metrics, self-study reports, evidences and proofs, and an improvement plan).

At the start of the workshop, Dr. Al-Zahrani presented the accomplishments made throughout the past period, and he thanked the heads of the departments, as well as all members of the Quality Committees in the academic departments and the main Quality Committee at the College for the effort that they make. He wished to see more effort in order to carry out the remaining part based on the pre-decided plan.  Dr. Atef Saeed then gave practical examples on the work required from each department regarding these three standards.

The workshops were attended by the members of the Quality Committees in the College as well as the Quality Committees of each department. There was great positive interaction and inquiries made by the attendees, as Dr. Al-Zahrani and Dr. Saeed answered all the inquiries of faculty members. Dr. Saeed noted that his office is open for anyone who may have a question or an inquiry.
