The students of Al-Qunfudhah Colleges of Engineering and Computer paid a field visit on Tuesday Rajab 3, 1439 H to Tihamah factory affiliated to the Southern Province Cement Company in the Southern Alordyat Province. The factory is reckoned the largest branch of the company with a production capacity of 15 thousand tons per day. In their visit, the students were accompanied by the Vice Dean of the Engineering College Dr. Alawi BaMahdi and the Head of the Construction Department in the College Eng. Ibrahim Al-Moree. The students were received by the supervisors of the three production lines in the factory including; Eng. Faisal Al-Shahrani, Eng. Abdullah Al-Shihri and Eng. Mohamed Al-Ghamdi who welcomed the students and  shed light on the different facilities of the factory starting from the power and water generation station,  crushers, mills and smelters  and the production control department. Then,  the supervisor of the production control department Eng. Mazin Al-Hazmi together with the production Manager Eng. Mohamed Diaa spoke about the importance of production lines control. After that, the students moved to quality control department to learn about the technical specifications and how to select samples for testing. The students also viewed how the robot works in receiving the samples and moving them between the different phases of screening.  Afterward, the students visited sites of packing of the liquid cement and loading of dry cement which is the last phase of production in the factory.  

At the conclusion of the visit, the Administrative Director of the Factory Mr. Mohamed Saeed Al-Faseeli welcomed the students of the two colleges who were happy while touring  the factory which have huge capabilities and equipment. He wished  that they must have benefited from the visit and prayed Allah to see them effective competencies in serving the country.  Then, the Vice Dean of the College of Engineering Dr. Alawi BaMahdi, the Head of the Construction Department  Eng. Ibrahim Al-Moree and the students extended their thanks to the Affiliates of the factory for the good reception and the exerted efforts and wished success for everyone.
