Under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Bakri Assas, University’s President, and in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Serouji, University’s Vice President for Educational Affairs, the closing ceremony for the proceedings of the 9th Scientific Forum was held, last Wednesday, by the Deanship of Student Affairs. Among the ceremony’s most prominent results was the wining of second place by the College of Education in the contests of the Forum. Students from the different academic departments of the College – at the forefront of which come the Department of Art Education; the Department of Physical Education; the Department of Psychology; and the Department of Family Education – participated in the various themes of the Forum, like: Scientific Research; That’s Me; Explain It; Artwork; Arabic Calligraphy.
His Excellency Dr. Ali Al-Matrafi, Dean of the College of Education, congratulated the College’s vice deans; department heads; and affiliates including academic and administrative staff and students, on the praiseworthy and meritorious achievements that were accomplished by the students of the College. He also gave his special thanks to all those who participated in the contests, wishing them further success.
For his part, Dr. Tawfeeq Al-Bakri, Vice Dean of the College of Education for Educational Affairs, mentioned that out of about 300 contributions in all contests, the total number of contributions by the College of Education, from both the male and female sections, amounted to 26; 14 out of them ranked high, which helped the College of Education attain a high rank (second place). He explained that this goes back to God’s grace first, and then to the efforts of the College’s students who proved to be efficient and showcased their abilities. He added that this is no stranger to such a well-established college that is taking steady steps toward producing top-quality outputs thanks to the grace of God the Almighty first, and then through the leadership of Dr. Al-Matrafi, Dean of the College, who works together with the administrative cadre in order to overcome all obstacles and prepare an academic environment that assists in accentuating different potential and talents.
