In the presence of the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Sarah bint Wajdi Tahir, and Dr. Kholoud bint Mohamed Abulnaja, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Student Activities, the College of Dentistry (girls section) held the UQU Role Model Competition Ceremony for the first stage on Monday 10 Jumada Al-Akhira 1439AH at the study hall.
The ceremony was opened with a wonderful recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. Afterwards, the Vice Dean of the college delivered a speech in which she referred to the patterns of correct behavior and the extent of the feeling of belonging to the country. She also talked about adherence to civilized behavior, which can happen through seeing good role models. She praised the efforts made by the jury to choose the role model of UQU, and thanked Dr. Ghaidaa Mohammed Baldaabaan, the coordinator of the competition, for her efforts in coordinating and preparing it. She thanked all the students participating in the competition and congratulated the female candidates in the first stage of the competition. At the end of her speech, she thanked the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Khoutani, for his continuous support to serve the students of the college to achieve the desired goals.
During the ceremony, the students participating in the competition showcased their presentations to win the title in the first stage of the competition. The students were: Nourah Rashid Al-Homaidi, Noha Hassan Fottani, Raghd Bandar Al-Hazimi, Lina Nasrallah Qari, Lina Omar Al-Sarihi, Doha Mohamed Jawa, and Ihdaa Abdulkarim Al-Turkistani.
Student Mawada Mandora, the winner of the second place in the competition, delivered a speech in which she expressed her happiness with her win, and left her fellow students and participants in the competition with motivational phrases.
As the event came to a close, the Vice Dean of the College honored the jury responsible for choosing the UQU role model, giving its members, as well as the participants of the competition, certificates of appreciation. She also praised their innovative efforts.
