The Computer Club, concerned with developing the different skills of female students, participated at Al-Qunfudha Computers College in the organization of an awareness program entitled, “Cancer Combat.” The event, which was organized on Thursday 29^th Jumada I 1439H, was supervised by Prof. Mona Al-Zahrany. In addition, the campaign was attended by a number of staff members and students under the umbrella of the contribution by the Ministry of Health (MOH). It is worth mentioning that MOH seeks to achieve a future vision to provide integrated and comprehensive health care at the highest global levels.  One of the aspects of such vision’s fulfillment was the provision of a cadre that participated in the awareness side of the campaign. This was in the presence of Dr. Sareen Mahjoub Mahmoud and Prof. Sarah Ahmad As-Sayyed.

In the same context, the campaign was accompanied by the activation of two corners: Awareness, and Cancer Types. Four types of cancer (i.e. liver cancer, colon cancer, blood cancer, as well as pancreatic cancer) were explained according to the degree and average of prevalence in Saudi Arabia.

It was noteworthy that the campaign received the acceptance and interaction of students. In other words, it represented one of the significant educational aspects to be applied in the university environments to increase knowledge and avoid misconduct.
