Under the sponsorship of the president of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), Dr. Bakri bin Maatooq Al-Assas, and the honorable presence of Al-Qunfudhah Province Governor, Mr. Fadha Al-Bogami, Al-Qunfudhah colleges of computer sciences and engineering organized the closing ceremony of the year 1437H, on Tuesday Sha'aban 8, 1437H. The ceremony was attended by the dean, vice deans, affiliates and faculty members of the two colleges, besides the graduates and  excellent students, some parents of the graduates and a media delegation form the local newspapers.    

Following a brief Quranic recitation at the beginning of the ceremony, a visual presentation on the most important achievements of the two colleges during the academic year 1436-1437H was provided. The presentation included the mission, vision and objectives of the two colleges besides the activated academic departments and plans , in addition to the laboratories, equipment, workshops and training courses of each college. It provided also the significant scientific research achievements, and the distinctive participations  of the two colleges in the seventh scientific forum of UQU. The presentation concluded by  reviewing numbers of the graduates from each departments and the names of the excellent students.     

For his part, the dean of the two colleges, Dr. Yassin Abdullah Al-Zubaidi  delivered a speech in which he welcomed the noble guests of the ceremony, congratulated the graduates and their families and urged them to achieve the Saudi vision 2030. After that the student Abdullah Al-Montashri delivered speech on behalf of the graduates in which he extended his thanks to his teachers and demonstrated loyalty to his blessed university.      

In a similar fashion, the governor of Al-Qunfudhah Province, Mr. Fadha Al-Bogami delivered speech in which he conveyed congratulations and blessings of the advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Governor of Makkah , Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and urged the graduated to exert their utmost efforts to serve this country and contribute building it  according to aspirations of the rulers of this blessed country.    

At the conclusion of the ceremony the excellent students of the two colleges, and he students participated in the UQU 7^TH Scientific Meeting and their supervising faculty members were honored and the graduation certificates were distributed to the graduates.
