Under sport and noble sponsorship of the Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College Dr. Yassin bin Abdullah Al-Zubaidi, the scientific research unit in the college received faculty members in the department of physical education on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. The meeting took place in the presence of the Head of Physical Education Department and the Vice Dean of Students Affairs Dr. Mastour Al-Faqih, faculty members in the department, supervisor of research unit Prof. Lotfi Dabeesh and the coordinator of the scientific departments in the unit Dr. Hakeem Ahmed Osman.  

At the banging of the meeting the supervisor of the research unit, Prof. Lotfi Dabeesh addressed the audience on the importance of scientific research in boosting the performance of faculty members revealing that the scientific and research competencies will have many advantages to students and other departments of the college. He also briefed them on the research unit, its objectives and future programs and the keenness of its members in disseminating advances research environment in the college adding that scientific research is one of the main quality standards.  

In turn,  the coordinator of the scientific departments in the unit Dr. Hakeem Osman stressed the importance of disseminating the college's scientific research in the search engineers including; Google Scholar & Research Gate beside the importance the available resources of the university in this regard. 

After that, a rich and constructive debate started with the faculty members on the department's scientific programs. Then members of research unit listened to the speech about the research and teaching concerns of the faculty members in the department and provided several proposals to boost scientific research and specialized publishing. The meeting came out with several recommendations including;

-    To collect scientific research of physical education department in an indexed volume and out the on the searching engines.  
-    To put department internal and external achievements in a booklet. 
-    To organize sport and physical education seminars and highlight department achievements.
-    To supervise orientation days at the beginning of the study semesters.
-    To encourage faculty members practically those who publish new research in well-established journals.  

At the conclusion of the meeting, the supervisor of research unit Prof. Lotfi Dabeesh extended his thanks and appreciation to the faculty members and the Head of the Department Dr. Mastour Al-Faqih for his cooperation and support provided for research unit. He also praised such scientific days and called for its continuation together with the other departments in the college.
