The Journal of Umm Al-Qura University for Language Sciences and Literature (JUQULSL) accepts manuscripts in both English and Arabic. Manuscripts should present the results of original research and must not have been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Authors are encouraged to concisely present their work, focusing on major points, findings, breakthroughs, discoveries, and their broader significance.
A cover letter must be included with each manuscript submission. It should be concise and explain why the content of the paper is significant, placing the findings in the context of existing work. It should explain why the manuscript fits the scope of the journal.
All cover letters are required to include the following statements:
Manuscripts for JUQULSL should be submitted online at “Submit Manuscript”. The submitting author, who is generally the corresponding author, is responsible for the manuscript during the submission and peer review process. The submitting author must ensure that all eligible co-authors have been included in the author list read the criteria to qualify for authorship and that they have all read and approved the submitted version of the manuscript. Additionally, the corresponding author should download and fill out the Authors Contribution Form stating the specific contribution of each author. To submit your manuscript, register and log in to the submission system.
Authors must use the Microsoft Word Template to prepare their manuscript. Using the template file will substantially shorten the time to complete copy-editing and publication of accepted manuscripts.

Note: The research article must not exceed more than 10,000 words. All paragraphs must be evenly adjusted and justified in both columns.
Authors are encouraged to carefully review their manuscripts to ensure compliance with these guidelines before submission. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in delays in the review process or rejection of the manuscript.
Title in English: The title of your manuscript in English should not exceed 15 words. Please use Times New Roman font, size 12.
Title in Arabic: The title of your manuscript in Arabic should not exceed 15 words. Please use Traditional Arabic font size 14.
Abstract: Provide an abstract summarizing the key points of your manuscript. The abstract should not exceed 250 words. Please use the Times New Roman font size 10 for the word count.
Keywords: Include up to 5 keywords that best represent the content of your manuscript. Please use the Times New Roman font size 10 for the word count.

All the figures and tables should be cited in the main text as Figure 1, Table 1, etc.
Note that footnotes on each page must start with a single asterisk symbol (or) alphabet.

Acronyms/ Abbreviations/Initialisms should be defined the first time they appear in each of three sections: the abstract; the main text; the first figure or table. When defined for the first time, the acronym/abbreviation/initialism should be added in parentheses after the written-out form.
Authors submitting to the Journal of Umm Al-Qura University for Language Sciences and Literature (JUQULSL) must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that may influence their research or its interpretation. Include a "Conflict of Interest" section before References. Review and resolution of conflicts will be handled confidentially. Non-disclosure may result in manuscript rejection.
If your research received financial support from any funding agency, organization, or institution, please acknowledge it here. Include grant numbers and details as necessary.

When multiple references are cited at the same place in the text of a document, use a hyphen to join the first and last references if they are inclusive. Use commas without spaces to separate exclusive references.

If an author needs to cite different page numbers from a single reference at different places within the text of a document, the formatting used in the example should be used. Please note that the source needs to appear only once in the reference list.
