Translation Unit:

This Unit undertakes tasks of translation from and to Arabic language assigned to it. The tasks may be documents, agreements, contracts, correspondences, information, or publications issued by the Institute. Besides adjusting texts and updating their Arabic and English versions, the unit issues an annual report on its activities.

Objectives:

• Supporting Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) efforts in the field of knowledge transfer.
• Translating publications issued by the Institute from and to Arabic language.
• Translating the university’s proposed documents and computer-based publications.
• Reviewing articles translated outside the unit.
• Organizing seminars and workshops to transfer the latest information in the field of translation in collaboration with international experts specialized in this domain.
• Supporting specialized scientific researches in the field of translation and heritage verification.
• Forming a translation team with its members having various specialties according to specialties of the research centers, besides boosting cooperation with the translation units in the international educational institutions.
