The number of hours in the Bachelor of Shari`ah Program is 179.
The general secondary education certificate, achievement test certificate and general aptitude test must have been awarded not more than five years ago.
The Bachelor of Shari`ah program accepts high school graduates in the following specializations: ( Shari`ah sciences, administrative sciences, courses system (administrative sciences), physical sciences, courses system (physical sciences), literary section, scientific section, the Scientific Institute, commercial secondary education, Qur'an memorization schools, Dar Al-Hadith, and the Institute of the Two Sacred Mosques).
Priority for admission at the department depend on two points: 1 - The weighted ratio of the applicant. 2 - The applicant passing the interview.
If a student is not admitted to the department after having the interview, they will be admitted to another department according to the priority of the weighted ratio.
Absence from the interview deprives the student of the right of being nominated to the department, and they will be admitted according to the rest of their choices, in accordance with the priority.

Yes, the student can withdraw the transfer application during the first week of study. In this case, they should go to the Deanship of Admission and Registration (Department of Academic Affairs) to request to withdraw the transfer application.
The student should have spent at least one semester in the department, excluding postponement or any apology for study. - The student should submit a request to change the current major during the allowed period according to the timetable of Umm Al-Qura University. - The remaining allowed period of study for students should be sufficient to complete the graduation requirements. - A student who has dropped out of studies, has been dismissed academically, and withdraws completely in the current semester is not entitled to transfer from one major to another. - A candidate is not entitled to transfer from one major to another if he/she has exceeded more than half of the hours of the study plan. - The student has to pass the personal interview.
