Given the great importance of strategic planning, the department is pleased to launch the Strategic Plan (1441-1445 A.H.). Utilizing the balanced scorecard approach, the plan includes six tracks, with six main indicators and seven strategic objectives, from which 13 sub-objectives and 22 operational initiatives stem, to be implemented by the department during the plan period.

The department provides academic programs that comply with Islamic Shari`ah and the national and scientific standards to qualify highly competent graduates who are endowed with the needed knowledge, skills, capabilities, and morals, enabling them to contribute to scientific and academic research and community service. The department also seeks to enhance the understanding of Shari`ah facts, concepts, and values, to foster Islamic knowledge towards the application of Shari`ah-oriented solutions to revolve contemporary issues and problems, and elevate the level of capabilities and skills of students in the department, in all the educational stages. Moreover, the department strives to identify and update the various areas of scientific research, keep abreast of the developments and changes of the age, and open new horizons for cooperation with the local, regional, and international institutions and sectors.
