  • 1. How to calculate the GPA?
    Calculating the points of each course: points of each course * the course credit hours. B- Calculating the Semester Rating: the total of the semester course points ÷ the total of the credit hours of the semester courses. C- Calculating the Cumulative Rating: the total of all the course points ÷ the total of the course credit hours.
  • 2- When may an amendment request be submitted?
    The Deanship of Admission and Registration shall provide an amendment form for the modification of a student's grades after having all the required data has been completed through electronic archiving by the department offering the course.
  • 3- How can the ‘absent’ grade be given?
    The grade (absent) is given to the student who attended the whole semester and did not attend the final exam only.
  • 4. What are the procedures of amending the grade?
    The student shall present an acceptable excuse explaining the reason for his absence from the final examination to the head of the department offering the academic course with the documents proving the reason. If approved, the application form will be completed and sent to the Deanship of Admission and Registration within a maximum period of one semester.
  • 5. What does the grade 'incomplete 'mean?
    Grade (IC) means incomplete. This grade is usually given for research courses as (graduation project- summer training).
  • 6. How can grade ‘incomplete’ be amended?
    The student shall present an acceptable excuse explaining the reason for his absence from the final examination to the head of the department offering the academic course with the documents proving the reason. If approved, the application form will be completed and sent to the Deanship of Admission and Registration within a maximum period of one semester.
  • 7. What are the criteria for issuing a denial to study?
    A denial to study is issued to students whose absence exceeds 30% of the total lectures for the entire semester.
  • 8. What does the grade (S) mean?
    Grade (S) means that the course teacher did not register the outcome in the e-service at the defined time.
  • 9. What does the grade (IP) mean?
    Grade (IP) means in progress. It is given by the course teacher to be completed in the next semester. It is given to annual courses as courses of the medical colleges.
  • 10. What does a student internal equivalency mean?
    If a student transfers, changes his major, or amends his course plan, an equivalence of the general courses is made automatically and then the major subjects are equated with the approval of the department offering the course.
  • 11. Are the equivalency courses calculated in the GPA?
    All courses that are equal to the internal equivalence are registered.
