Overview:

The Planning and Budget Department is one of the oldest departments of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU).

Its establishment decision was issued in the fiscal year 1400/1401H, to become since then one of the most vital departments of the university due to its important and effective role to the advancement and progress of the university works. At the present time, still the department is committed to its noble mission in supporting the different sectors of UQU, within its noble objectives.   

 

Mission:

The Department endeavors to provide studies and projects of the university operational plans in line with State's development plan, besides setting up budget draft to meet physical requirements of the university, as well as following up implantation of the budget, and making transfers according to the rules and regulations, and to support the university's developmental process.

Objectives:

The Budget and Planning Department aims at achieving the best advancement level for Umm Al-Qura University regarding its budget, planning works and developments plans through the following:   

 

  • Conducting studies related to the current status of the university.
  • Preparing the university's five-year plan according to the State's development plan.
  • Preparing the budget's draft.
  • Linking budget allocations and transfers to all financial transactions in the university.
  • Offering consultancy services to the university management regarding planning and budget.

To be distinguished administrative model, in supporting the university' mission efficiently and effectively in the fields of learning, education and scientific research.
