Umm Al-Qura University established an administrative entity named the Land and Property Department. It is one of the departments falling within the organizational structure of the Vice Presidency for Branches, and is affiliated directly to His Excellency the Vice President. The Land and Property Department is concerned with documenting and making surveys on the properties of Umm Al-Qura University located in Makkah and the governorates affiliated with it. It also concerned with safeguarding these properties against any transgression and referring the matter to the bodies concerned with removing transgression.

The Land and Property Department is considered to be the entity responsible for coordinating matters with other competent government bodies in relation to the properties of Umm Al-Qura University, including lands, buildings, and public facilities.
