Ataa Initiative Visits Yosr Feminine Center

In honor of the Dean of University Studies for Girls, Ataa Initiative (one of the initiatives of the Deanship of Scientific Research) visited Yosr Feminine Center at its invitation on Tuesday, 21st Rajab 1438H. The visit aimed to identify the objectives and progress of the Initiative, and to review the role of such Initiative to enrich the research units of non-profit institutions through community partnerships.

The visit began at 8:00 pm with the definition of the Center, its members and objectives by Dr. Haifaa bint Othman Fida, Supervisor of the Center and Vice Dean of the Arabic Language Research Center. The members then introduced a simplified definition of themselves and the units in which they worked and developed within the Center.

This was followed by a presentation on the Deanship of Scientific Research, Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) by Dr. Hanadi Buhairi, Vice-Dean of Scientific Research for Development. Then, Dr. Sumayya Ezzat Sharaf, Vice-Dean of the College of Education and Leader of Ataa Initiative, gave a detailed presentation on the theme of the Initiative including its vision, objectives, mission and roles that it could carry out in foreign partnerships and agreements.

Afterwards, Dr. Hanadi Qamara, Research Supervisor at Yosr Center, gave a presentation on the Unit, its objectives and projects. She also indicated her aspirations to enrich the Unit through a future partnership of support with Ataa Initiative. This was to take advantage of the services provided in the Initiative in the methodology of development and support of the Unit and its missions.

The meeting was attended by Ataa Initiative leaders, i.e. Dr. Sumayya Hariri, Assistant Head of the Medical Science Research Center, and Dr. Amira Al-Sa’edy, Staff Member at the College of Da’wah. The visit ended at 10:30 pm, after the Deanship of Scientific Research, represented in Ataa Initiative, thanked Yosr Feminine Center for invitation, and appreciated its efforts to the benefit of family and Makkah communities.
