The College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies Held a Course Entitled: “Office Management”

The College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies organized a remote course entitled: “Office Management”, via WebEx. The course was presented by Her Excellency Dr. Amal Turkistani, Assistant Head of the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies Administration, on Sunday, 15 Sha`ban 1442

Several themes were included in the course, most importantly:

  1. Office management, its concept and importance
  2. Elements of office management
  3. Duties of office management
  4. Office management skills

Her Excellency touched on the various types of office management skills, which are as follows:

  • Personal skills, including: leadership, time management, cooperation, sense of responsibility, flexibility and adaptability, along with other personal skills.
  • Administrative skills, including: organizing appointments, organizing meetings, and report preparation.
  • Technical skills, including: using the internet and online applications, designing, and social media.

Her Excellency urged the attendees to train themselves on practicing these skills, given their importance in developing and harnessing managerial behaviors, in facilitating the ability to solve problems and address them, and in promoting the acquisition of useful knowledge. This is as well as the fact that they ensure the success of the institution and organization, and facilitate the realization of its objectives. Moreover, such training is important for harnessing the capabilities and talents of employees.

In concluding the training course, the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies offered a certificate of acknowledgment and appreciation to Dr. Amal Turkistani for the lauded efforts she exerted in presenting the course, which gained the satisfaction of the audience.
