The English Language Center held a training program, over a period of six weeks, which included a number of interactive workshops, using the latest secretarial concepts and modern technologies, in order to qualify the administrative staff. The program was prepared and presented by the accredited trainer, Ms. Hawazin Al-Saigh.
The Director of the English Language Center, Dr. Sahar bint Matar Al-Zahrani, asserted that the administration of the center aims to disseminate the culture of optimal training and qualification for the administrative staff and to boost their professional and knowledge expertise using the latest technologies and digital applications.
During the first weeks, the trainees were introduced to a cloud computing application (Google Drive) and Google Forms and were also briefed about the importance of these applications and how to make use of them. Moreover, the trainees were trained on the skills of using Microsoft Office programs and all the features provided by these programs.
Next, the trainees were introduced to the methods and steps of designing an infographic and a tutorial video for non-specialists, as they serve as forms of visual communication which help to simplify and facilitate access to and understanding of information.
At the conclusion of the training series, three training programs were provided in order to introduce and explain the comprehensive concept of secretariat, in general, and to shed light on the methods and applications which contribute to accomplishing and organizing the administrative work at the center. The training programs also included an introduction to the Microsoft Teams, covered how to share and follow up files, and explained how to hold remote meetings via the program. Moreover, the UQU electronic form was introduced, with the trainees learning how to deal with it and the steps to create this form.

They attended all the training courses on a punctual basis and accomplished and delivered the applied tasks of the workshops on time. The trainees shared with the trainer their practical applications, including designs, video presentations, surveys, and templates of letters written in a professional manner.
