His Excellency the Vice President of Umm Al-Qura University for Educational Affairs, Dr. Amer bin Awwad Al-Zaidi, conducted an inspection visit to the midterm exams for the students of the Joint First Year Deanship for the second semester on Thursday, 5 Sha`ban 1442 A.H., to follow up on the in-person exams of the deanship held at King Saud Great Hall in the University City in Al-Abdiyyah.
His Excellency Dr. Amer bin Awwad Al-Zaidi was received by His Excellency the Vice Dean of the Joint First Year for Educational Affairs, Dr. Waheeb bin Dakhilullah Al-Harbi, and His Excellency the Vice Dean, Dr. Ahmad bin Fawzi bin Siraj Arba`in.
Following the inspection tour, His Excellency the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Amer bin Awwad Al-Zaidi, affirmed that this visit comes in response to the directives of the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab. Such steps mirror the University President's keenness on the importance of inspecting the academic environment and its impact on achieving a rapid response to the ambitions and aspirations of the students, of providing them with an appropriate educational environment, making all the preparations necessary to reduce the tension of the exams, especially with the current Coronavirus pandemic conditions, as well as taking all measures that are conducive to making the exams a good educational experience for the students in these exceptional circumstances, without leaving any negative effects on them.
On this occasion, His Excellency lauded the strenuous efforts exerted by the deanship, represented by His Excellency the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Waheeb Al-Harbi, and its team. Those efforts have been evident in the excellent planning and high-level organization of King Saud Hall in Al-Abdiyyah, ensuring the smooth entry and exit paths for the students and the compliance with social distancing procedures and safety precautions.
On his part, His Excellency the Dean of the Joint First Year, Dr. Wahib Al-Harbi, indicated that all the students of the Joint First Year Program, in its health, scientific, and administrative streams, will be taking their midterm exams in person throughout this week. Midterm exams were held for all female students of the deanship, with its three streams, i.e. health, scientific, and administrative, last week.
In addition, Dr. Khalid lauded the unlimited support from the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab, and the continuous follow-up of His Excellency the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Amer bin Awwad Al-Zaidi. He also referred to the importance of such inspection visits, which reflect the keenness and continued support shown by the university leadership to the deanship, and the importance of this support in enabling the deanship to carry out its duties and enhance its educational role in this lofty academic edifice: Umm Al-Qura University.
