To activate the comprehensive memorandum of understanding signed between the Secretariat of the Holy City of Makkah and Umm Al-Qura University, which confirmed the depth of cooperation and communication between the two sides in the fields of planning the districts and slums of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, the distinguished students at the Department of Islamic Architecture were honored. This was due to the tangible effort they exerted in the cadastral surveying and the proposed planning for one of the slums of Makkah Al-Mukarramah (Bi'r Al-Ghanam region).
The students and the professors of the course were honored by His Excellency the Secretary of the Holy City of Makkah, Eng. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Quwaihes, in the presence of the General Supervisor of the University Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmad Babalghaith, the different course professors, and the Head of the Department of Islamic Architecture, Dr. Ibrahim Nur Al-Din Al-Bukhari.
