Sponsored by Vice-Dean of the Institute of the Arabic Language for Non-native Speakers Dr. Samya Al Radady, the college held a ceremony to honor top students and welcome newcomers.
Mrs. Sharihan Al Thaqafy delivered the opening speech: "It is an honor to have the Institute of the Arabic Language decorated in the best way to celebrate graduation of one of its batch of students who would receive help to continue education at Umm Al Qura University (UQU) as per the saying of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him): "People will come to you seeking knowledge. When you see them say to them, 'Welcome, welcome,' in obedience to the injunctions of the Messenger of Allah and instruct them in knowledge. "(One of the narrators said) "I said to Al-Hakam: 'What is 'Iqnuhum?' He said: 'Instruct them.'"
Today is a different day, when we commemorate the day when students of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-native Speakers graduate to the perfect of joy among their students. Dear students: Success does not only mean you reach the top, it means (and this is the most difficult) to stay on the top. Please, go on to reach your aspiration even beyond the success and the top. It is not only about that look you make forward, it is all about per diem efforts to overcome challenges to wrap your heartfelt learning with dedication and devotion.
The celebration started after listening to few verses of the holy Quran. The Vice-dean, in this context, congratulated graduates and welcomed freshwomen shedding light on main guidelines about the study plan. The graduates have also presented a show during the celebration. Later, Dr. Amira Al Saedi addressed the gathering before honoring the top student.
Also, professors and lecturers were honored during the event which was closed by the saying: (Dear graduates, we would like to remove distance and rejoice meeting, but it's the mores of life. We say no farewell, but see you. For the top-ranking persistent students, you are the hope of tomorrow, so please keep going that way. The newcomers at the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-native Speakers are welcome.)
