The delegation of the Joint First Year, including: Her Excellency the Acting Dean of the Joint First Year, Dr. Azza bint Muhammad Bannunah, His Excellency the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Waheeb bin Dakhilullah Al-Harbi, His Excellency the Vice Dean for Branches, Dr. Osama bin Abbas Abu Farraj, and Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the Scientific and Administrative Streams, Dr. Fayza bint Muhammad Al-Harbi, made an inspection visit on Tuesday, 19 Safar, 1442 A.H., to the branch of the deanship in Al-Qunfudhah. The aim of the visit was to check on the progress of the educational process and follow up the preparations to hold the midterm exams.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the male and female academic staff members at the deanship branch in Al-Qunfudhah to identify their needs and to help to create a stimulating and supportive academic environment in such a manner which will have a positive impact on improving the quality of the educational process in the branch. The meeting dealt with: converting some courses of the deanship to digital courses, in collaboration with the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education; organizing the unified exams for the male and female students; diversifying students' activities and making them respond to the students' educational, psychological, and social needs; and hiring some of the affiliates of the colleges involved in the program for teaching the students of the deanship according to the self-employment plan the deanship started to apply in the branches.
A meeting was also held between the delegation of the Joint First Year and the academic leaders of the colleges in Qunfudhah that are involved in the program, including: His Excellency the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Sa`ati, His Excellency the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Alawi bin Muhammad Bamahdi, His Excellency the Vice Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Dr. Naif bin Abdullah Al-Suhaimi, His Excellency the Vice Dean of the College of Computing, Dr. Muhammad Al Mujamid, and His Excellency the Vice Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Muhammad bin Khidr bin Muhammad Al-Zaila`i. The delegation of the deanship listened to all the aspirations and ambitions of the officials of the colleges involved in the program, and the two parties agreed to continue cooperation in improving the quality of the program outputs in such a manner that meets these aspirations and ambitions.
At the conclusion of the visit, Her Excellency the Acting Dean of the Joint First Year, Dr. Azza bint Muhammad Bannunah, expressed her thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bahusain Bafail, and the Supervisor of the UQU Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Babalghith. She praised their continued and growing support for the Deanship of the Joint First Year.
