The Islamic Call Institute Corner at the "Call to Allah" Exhibition in Makkah was honored to receive its visitors on Sunday, 29th JumadaI 1438H. On top of the visitors came the President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, his Vice-Presidents and the General Manager of the Islamic Affairs Ministry Branch in Makkah Region. The visitors listened to an explanation by Dr. Ahmad bin Mashaal Al-Ghamdi, Supervisor of the Corner, about the Islamic Call interests of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers which could be summarized in the following four themes:
Islamic Call Interests inside the Institute: They include the implementation of a number of diverse competitions in memorizing the Qur'an, the Sunnah and scientific texts. Moreover, the Institute is interested in the organization of scientific and Islamic-Call-oriented lessons and courses in addition to sermons given by professors and students after the noon prayers inside the Institute's mosque, as well as the establishment of the Charitable Fund to Support Programs of Scholarship Students. Besides, among the Institute's internal interests are receiving a number of VIPs and official delegations from several sates, and discussing with them the scientific and Islamic-Call-oriented services that can be provided in their countries.
Islamic Call Interests outside the Institute: They firstly include partnerships with a number of official bodies by signing a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding that aim at enhancing the scientific, Islamic-Call and cultural aspects inside students. The external interests secondly involve Islamic-Call-oriented visits and trips to the students of the Institute. This is evident in the visits of a number of senior officials, scholars, preachers, and religious and charitable entities with various interests inside and outside Makkah.
Islamic Call Interests inside Students' Countries: This is clear through the Institute's follow up of, material and moral support for and semi-frequent participation in its students' Islamic Call activities inside their countries.
Interest in the Recitation and Memorization of Holy Qur'an: The Institute is keen to perfect its students for the recitation and memorization of the Holy Qur'an. This is due to its great significance to reinforce faith, Islamic Call and language inside students. With this purpose, a number of memorandums of understanding were signed with a number of professionals in this regard. In addition to that, the Institute established morning seminars of recitation, correction and authorization at its mosque, the Student Housing Mosque or Ashour Bukhari Mosque. Moreover, more than 260 speaking electronic copies of the Qur'an were secured to help students master its recitation and memorization. In addition, a number of specialized courses were set up in the Al-Qa'eda An-Nouraniyah (Database of Light) for new students of the Institute, which had a great impact on their good pronunciation and recitation skills.
At the end of the visit, Dr. Assas and his companions commended such efforts, stressed the scientific and religious role played by the Institute to serve Muslims all over the world, and wished that Allah would grant the Institute, its students and staff guidance and success.
