On Tuesday, May 13th, 2016, The Department of Physical Education hosted a scientific symposium titled “Physical Education Teachers’ Performance Caliber with Quality and Accreditation Involved” at the Grand Hall theatre of the Physical Education College. Professor Mohamed Amin, an academic staff member at the Department of Physical Education, presented the symposium.
Present at the symposium were Head of the Physical Education Department of Jeddah Education Division, Mr. Khalid Shafa’ai; and Head of the Training Unit of Jeddah Education Division, Mr. Abdulrahman Qumsani. Both of them are Physical Education Department alumni.
Still, among the attendance were the students of the Practical Education as well as the seniors of the physical education specialty with pedagogic preparation. The discussion revolved around what concerns the physical education in terms of duties, rights and obligations, in addition to the latest on the physical education curricula and methodology given the remarkable development of the Ministry’s plans as it lends special attention to such a key subject in all educational stages.
The Head of the Department of the Physical Education, Prof. Tawfiq El-bakri; and the Department’s academic staff members attended the symposium.
Similarly, Prof. Tawfiq El-bakri spoke highly of this event seen as preliminary step towards abridging the gap between the education and the academic institution which prepares their students for the labor market in a way serving all parties concerned, Allah willing.
On drawing the symposium to a close, the Head of the Department extended his thanks and appreciation to the Dean of the College, Prof. Ali Al-matrafi. He also offered his thanks to the University’s administration for providing the proper environment, and for continuously encouraging such scientific activities which achieves the sought-after goals, Allah willing.
