In honor of its Dean, Dr. Sultan bin Ayed Saad al-Buqami, the College of Business Administration organized a ceremony in honor of a number of staff members and administrative employees on Tuesday 10th Jumada I 1438H. The event was attended by Dr. Salih Al-Aqla, Dean of the College of Islamic Economics and Finance, and the Accounting Department’s staff members and administrative employees.
The honoring included Dr. Faisal Ayed Al-Rouqy, former Head of the Accounting Department for four years before assignment as Vice-Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research. It also involved Prof. Dr. Ahmad Abdulqader Al-Qarni on the occasion of the transfer of his services and appointment at the Accounting Department. Moreover, Abdullah Al-Zahrani and Abdulaziz Al-Zahrani, the new teaching assistants for this year, as well as Majed Al-Aylan and Mashary Al-Haseen, the teaching assistants who completed their Master’s in Accounting, were honored. In addition, the honoring included both former and new Department Secretaries, Mr. Khalid Al-Hazimi and Mr. Sultan Al-Towerqi respectively.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Dean of the College gave a speech in which he stressed the need to work on raising the Department’s quality level, and updating its the study plan to suit the transmission of the Accounting Department from the College of Shari'ah to the College of Business Administration, and the efforts to acquire the Academic Accreditation. At the end of the meeting, the honorees received gifts from both the Dean of the College and the organizing committee of the ceremony, while extending the deepest thanks and appreciation to their colleagues for such generous gesture and wishing everyone success.
