His Excellency Prof. Hamdi Yusuf, Professor of Engineering Mathematics, Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture, Umm Al-Qura University, in association with Her Excellency Dr. Najat Al-Ghamdi, Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics, Department of Mathematics, College of Applied Sciences, published a paper in Scientific Reports Journal, which is one of the journals of the publishing house Nature; it is one of the most important and most famous scientific journals in the world. The paper is entitled:

Modeling of One-Dimensional Thermoelastic Dual-Phase-Lag Skin Tissue Subjected to Different Types of Thermal Loading

This research was drawn from a scientific project related to the program of the strategic plan for the Kingdom of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology; it was supervised by the Science and Technology Unit at Umm Al-Qura University.

In this research, a mathematical model of elastic thermal skin tissue was constructed in the context of the dual-phase-lag thermal conductivity equation in one dimension. Work was done on a thin layer of skin without any stress on its outer surface. Then three different types of thermal loading were suggested on the outer surface of the skin: thermal shock, ramp type heating, and harmonic heating. Laplace transform techniques were used and equations solved in Laplace field. The Laplace inversions were calculated using the Tzuo method. The numerical results were represented in figures. Numerical results were drawn for different states and multiple comparisons. Important findings were reached, and the impacts of each variable on the properties of the skin tissue were identified.

It is worth noting that the results of this research can help in developing the leather industry used in the robot industry, and manufacturing medicines and ointments used to treat burns, as well as medical treatments of the skin.
