The College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, in collaboration with the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for Direction, Guidance and Community Partnership, and in partnership with the female section's "Hajar" program in the 'Glorification of the Holy Land' project, held a celebration on the launch of the 'Mecca Smart Card' Initiative, on Monday, 4 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., in Al-Jafali Hall (2)
The ceremony included a poem entitled, "Oh Great Makkah". Next, Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the College, Prof. Nurah Al-Mihmadi, delivered a speech in which she welcomed the attendants and the members of the reviewing committee in the Glorification Project. Afterwards, Her Excellency talked about the virtue of Makkah and the importance of developing initiatives for serving pilgrims, and explained the idea of the initiative, aspects of making use of them, their applications in the real life, and the manner of disseminating them. At the end of the speech, Her Excellency thanked the members of the reviewing committee, the college coordinator, and the participating female students for the efforts they exerted in the preparation and execution of the initiative.
Her Excellency the Deputy Head of the Department of Shari`ah, Dr. Eman Qabous, talked about the smart card, how to use it, its contents, and the ability to continually add to it. After this, the Coordinator of the College, Prof. Fathiyah Mashaal, delivered a speech, and the enquiries of the attendants about the smart card were answered.
The ceremony gained the approval and admiration of the female academic staff members and the female students, from inside and outside the college.
