The ceremony got started with reciting out of the holy Quran with the participation of two students: one belonging to the Teachers’ Qualification Department who read with (Riwayat) Warsh An Nafaa el Madani reciting version; the other belonging to Arabic Language Teaching Department who read with (Riwayat) Hafs An Assem reciting version. After that, the Institute’s Dean delivered a speech about the status of the Arabic language and ways of boosting its dissemination.
Then the segments of the ceremony succeeded with a poem performed by Dr. Tulbah Abdulsatar titled “Hewar Ma’a Elda’ad” or “ an Interview with Arabic Language), followed by more segments with tangible interaction from the Institute’s students with its two departments combined. Student called Mohamed Isar gave a speech about the Arabic language and its cultural role which is instrumental to have it recognized internationally. Also, the students’ experience with learning the Arabic language featured during the ceremony to the effect that three students belonging to the Teachers’ Qualification Department shared their experience doing the Arabic language and how to acquire and master it with the attendance.
Shortly after, the students of the Arabic Language Teaching Department delivered a speech about how the Arabic language and Islam made their way into their countries: Afghanistan, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Kenya and Senegal.then, a student called Bisheer Fadllalah read a poem titled “ Khatart umm Alughat” or “Map of All Languages”. This was followed by student-performed play featuring the linguistic knowledge and humor which appealed to the students and attendance. Also, a linguistic debate was held between john and Qahtan, and it is meant to highlight the status of the Arabic language, its advantages and its superiority to other foreign languages. And a group of students gave accounts about their reading in Arabic.
Afterwards, along with Dr. Mohammed ibn Said Alsubaiti, Dr. Hassan ibn Abudlhamid Bukhari, the dean of the Institute, handed out prizes and souvenirs to the Institute’s students amid cheerful, happy atmosphere.
Concluding the ceremony, a scientific seminar titled “Ways of Strengthening the Arabic Language and its Dissemination” was held. Dr. Mohamed ibn Said Alsubaiti, the vice dean of the Institute, hosted the seminar with the participation of Dr. Musa’ad Mohammed Ibraheem Hilaibah and Dr. Moa’atasim Yousief Mustafa. The ceremony ended with the attendance having lunch in the Institute amid happiness and auspiciousness drawn over faces.
