A delegation from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) visited the College of Dentistry at Umm Al-Qura University, and met with the dean, vice deans, and heads of the departments. At the end of the visit, the delegation also met with His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail.
The delegation included the Chief Executive Officer for Academic Affairs, Dr. Wisam Abu Zanada, the CEO of the Health Academy, Sami Al-Sulami, the Regional Director for the Western Region, Muhammad Al-Ghamdi, and the Head of the Western Region Training Department, Nawar Khan.
The visiting delegation discussed means of cooperation to increase the number of training seats in the postgraduate programs and Saudi fellowship specializations. In addition, there was a discussion on the possibility of cooperation between the Health Academy and the College of Dentistry to develop programs dedicated to the disciplines supporting dentistry.
