His Excellency Dr. Alawi bin Muhammad Bamahdi, Dean of the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah, chaired the first session of the College Council meeting for the academic year 1440/1441 A.H. The meeting took place on Monday, 10 Muharram 1441, A.H., at 10:00 a.m., in the college meeting hall. At the beginning of the meeting, the dean of the college welcomed the admission of the following new members to the College of Engineering Council: His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Salim Al-Hassani, Acting Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Nassar, Supervisor of the College Vice Deanship for Postgraduates Studies and Scientific Research, and Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Baghdadi, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering. He wished them all success in serving the college.

The College Council also discussed a number of topics on its agenda, including several academic, research, and administrative topics related to many scientific and educational aspects of scholarships, committees, and scientific research.
