    An Overview of the Graduates Follow-Up Office

    The Graduates Follow-up Office is an affiliate office of the University Vice Presidency for Development and Quality at Al-Qunfudhah. It is concerned with managing the affairs of the college graduates. It was established by virtue of a decision made by His Excellency the University President, bearing No. 3903001433, dated 3/7/1439 A.H.

    Objectives:

    • Strengthening and sustaining the relationship between the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah and its work-ready graduates and prospective employers.
    • Increasing the number of graduates joining the labor market through the continuous education and training programs offered by the university.
    • Contributing to enhancing the academic and social status of the university.

    Duties:

    • Creating a database on graduates, employers, and all graduate-related sectors.
    • Communicating with the graduates of the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah, and providing a database that links educational outcomes and labor market requirements.
    • Issuing periodicals and creating a data bank about graduates’ academic, professional, and community activities.
    • Gauging employers’ hiring trends and the extent they are satisfied with the college graduates.
    • Monitoring the challenges faced by graduates transitioning into the labor market.
    • Contributing to forming associations for graduates, and promoting communication among them.
    • Finding optimal ways of maintaining contact between the graduates and the College of Engineering.
    • Submitting an integrated report, at the end of each semester, that provides a holistic view of the measures taken for the Graduates Unit in the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality, which is later presented in a consolidated report to the University Vice Presidency for Development and Quality.
    • Establishing a list of successful examples and role models from among the graduates.
    • Organizing the "Profession Day" event, and coordinating with the employers and the Deanship of Students Affairs in this regard.
