The Winners of the Graduation Project Competition at the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah

Under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Jabir bin Sa`id Al-Zahrani, the Dean of the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah, the Vice Deanship for Development and Entrepreneurship organized the graduation projects competition at the college level for the academic year 1439-1440 A.H. 

The results were as follows:

  • The first place winners were Dr. Abdul-Qadir Al-Amari's group. The student team was composed of Ahmad Masoud Ahmad Al-Eissa, Khalid Muhammad Abdullah Al-Marhabi,Maqboul Ali Hasan Asiri, Ahmad Nafi` Abu Talib Al-Harithi, and Majid Omar Shami Al-Yahyawi.
  • The second place winners were Dr. Rasim Al-Maluli's group. The student team was composed of Nawwaf Hasan Muhammad Awad, Abdul-Rahman Hamid Abdul-Rahman Badawi, Bassam Sa`id Omar Bama`bad, Faisal Ahmad Uthman Al-Kathiri, and Abdul-Rahman Dahawi Ahmad Al-Omari.
  • The third place winners were Dr. Essam Al-Qamati's group. The student team was composed of Ali Ibrahim Ali Al-Sayyid, Muhammad Hasan Al-Rab`i, Muhammad Abdullah Al-Nashri, Muhammad Abdu Al-Barakati, and Elyas Ali Al-Zila`i.

Dr. Alawi Bamahdi, Vice Dean of the College, gave the winning students shields and certificates of excellence, in the presence of Dr. Ubaid Al-Hadaraiti, Vice Dean of the College for Development and Entrepreneurship. He also handed over certificates of thanks and appreciation to the winning project supervisors for their great efforts in guiding the winning students.

The competition is aimed at students of graduation projects at the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah.

The competition depends on the evaluation criteria adopted in the competition, most importantly, the feasibility of the project, the extent to which the project can be applied and transformed into a pioneering work, creativity in the idea of the project and its implementation, and the scientific content of the project.

The first round of the competition was organized under the supervision of Dr. Ghazi Al-Hadaraiti, Vice Dean of the College for Development and Entrepreneurship, and members of the vice deanship. Registration for the competition closed on Thursday 7 Rajab 1440 A.H. The first round of the competition aims to disseminate a culture of innovation and creativity, and a spirit of challenge among the college students in order to contribute to boosting the level of quality of the outcomes of the academic program in general, and the graduation projects in particular. The competition also endeavors to prepare and encourage students to participate with their projects in contests, both inside and outside the university.
