UQU College of Dentistry Holds the 8th Annual Research Day at the Hospital of Dentistry

Under the auspices of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the events of the 8th Annual Research Day were held on Monday morning, 1 April, 2019 A.C., at the headquarters of the Educational Dentistry Hospital at the UQU College of Dentistry. The event included more than 30 scientific posters, and was held in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Khutani, the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Masha`il Al-Qahtani, and Their Excellencies the vice deans of the college, heads of departments, academic staff, and students participating with their research from inside and outside the college.

A committee from the Vice Deanship for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research discussed, evaluated and referred to the participating research projects. At the end of the forum, the winners were announced and awards were handed to the first three positions.

Dr. Masha`il Al-Qahtani stressed the importance of such activities in providing students with more research skills, refining their personalities, encouraging them to develop and analyze data, linking information together, and finding answers and scientific solutions based on proven evidence. She thanked all participants for making the day successful, and appreciated the active participation of King Abdulaziz University, Taiba University, and Al-Farabi College.

The Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Khutani, pointed out that the college pays great attention to this annual event. In fact, the college proceeds at a steady pace and has endeavored, since its establishment, to graduate distinguished and excellent generations of dentists; and this can only take place by taking care and interest in scientific research. Finally, he expressed sincere thanks to the university administration, headed by His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, for his unlimited support of the college.
