Thanks to Allah, the building of the College of Applied Medical Sciences (female section) was inaugurated by the President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, on Sunday, 05 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., corresponding to 10 February 2019 A.C., in the presence of the Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Ayman Sa'igh, the UQU Vice Presidents, the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, and academic staff members.
The building underwent renovation including wall painting using carefully selected colors to help students study in a stimulating and healthy environment. Also, some inspiring phrases of change leaders led by our ambitious Prince Muhammad bin Salman, the architect of Saudi Vision 2030, set to achieve our hopes and aspirations, were used.
The building also included mural paintings of the graduates association, the dean's honor list for intern year students in different college specializations, and students' graffiti artwork of the "Be Happy" initiative. This initiative was launched by the leader of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the champion and leader of university advancement. This initiative was inspirational to create a relaxing environment which stimulates the creativity of our students.
His Excellency the president visited the e-learning laboratory at the college. He also became acquainted with the needs of the educational labs and ordered that they be equipped with the most modern technologies used in the educational process. His Excellency also praised the efforts exerted by the dean and the staff of the college and their keenness to provide an inspiring educational environment which achieves Saudi Vision 2030 in the fields of creativity and development.
