The Institute of Manuscripts and Revival of Islamic Heritage participates in the Fourth Jeddah International Book Fair, at Umm Al-Qura University pavilion. The Book Fair was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Emir of Makkah Province, who was accompanied by His Royal Highness the Governor of Jeddah and a number of officials on Wednesday evening, 19 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1440 A.H.
After the inauguration, the exhibition started to receive the visitors. Umm Al-Qura University participated with a distinguished pavilion with regard to its great location. The pavilion, which included many valuable publications, witnessed a great turnout, especially for the books on the revival of the Islamic heritage. Some of the prominent titles that the Institute displayed were: Ma`ani Al-Qur'an Al-Karim, Al-Iqna` fi Al-Qira'at Al-Sab`, Takmilat Al-Ikmal, Ithaf Al-Wara, Mana'ih Al-Karam, Sharh Al-Kawkab Al-Munir, Gharib Al-Hadith by Al-Khattabi, Nihayat Al-Sul, and other valuable titles that attracted the attendants. Moreover, researchers were keen to possess a copy of these books.
The Dean of the Institute of Manuscripts and Revival of Islamic Heritage, Dr. Sa`id bin Ali Al-Ghamdi, praised the support and directions of His Excellency the President of the University and the Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, who appreciated the participation of the Institute in this Book Fair that present to the community the publications and the research fields of the University, especially those relating to the noble Islamic heritage.
